PRP Therapy FAQs

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy?

PRP therapy involves using a concentrated portion of your own blood—specifically the platelets—which are rich in growth factors. These platelets are injected or applied to treatment areas to stimulate natural healing, collagen production, and tissue regeneration.

How long does a PRP treatment take?

A typical session lasts approximately 60 minutes. This includes time for the blood draw, processing the PRP in a centrifuge, and the treatment application (such as microneedling or injections).

Is there any downtime following the procedure?

Downtime is minimal. You may experience slight redness, swelling, or minor bruising at the treatment site for 24-48 hours. Most clients resume normal social activities within a day.

How many treatments will I need for optimal results?

While many see early improvement after one session, a series of 3 to 6 treatments spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart is generally recommended for maximum skin rejuvenation or hair density goals.

Is the procedure painful?

Most clients tolerate PRP very well. For facial microneedling, a topical numbing cream can be applied prior to your session to ensure your complete comfort. For hair restoration, localized comfort measures are taken to keep the experience seamless.
